A native of Vicksburg Mississippi, Cooper Morrison received a BA from Millsaps College and an MBA from the University of Mississippi. He worked in a three-generation, family petroleum business, which included both a retail business, the FastLane Convenience Stores, and a fleet fueling business, Fuelman of Mississippi and West Tennessee, which provided a fuel network and online fleet data for business and government. Those businesses sold in 2000, 2001 and 2003. Cooper is currently involved in commercial real estate investment.
A past president of the Mississippi Petroleum Marketers’ Association, Cooper has also served on the boards of Millsaps College, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers’ of America. He is a communicant of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral and is a former Senior Warden, Junior Warden and Vestry Member, as well as a former member of the Executive Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi.
Cooper and his wife Frances live in Jackson and are the parents of four grown children.
