An attorney with Butler Snow, LLP, Ashley Wicks focuses her practice on Public Finance, State and Local Taxation, Tax Credits and Tax. She is frequently a speaker for various legal conferences, seminars and CLEs on those topics.
Ashley practices with the Business Services Group and Public Finance. She is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Texas and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Her emphasis practice areas are Federal, State and Local Taxation; Public Finance; Tax Credits; Corporate and Business transactions/formations; and Tax and Estates.
A graduate of Jackson State University and Tulane University School of Law, Ashley received her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama in 2010. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Association and a Fellow of the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity. She has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Star every year since 2012.
She was a 2018 National Bar Association’s Nation’s Best Advocates: 40 Lawyers Under 40, a 2018 Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 50 Leading Business Women, and a 2016 Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 50 Under 40 (Top Ten Finalist). She has received the Jackson Young Lawyers Pro Bono Service Award in 2010. She has also received the Magnolia Bar’s Association’s Alfred Rhodes Service Award.
Ashley has served as President of the Magnolia Bar Association and is on the Board of Bar Commissioners of the Mississippi Bar Association and the Board of the Make a Wish Foundation. She is a member of the Junior League of Jackson and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
