
Robert Markwood (Mark) Fields

Mark Fields, A native of Chattanooga Tennessee with career years in Nashville, has resided in Mississippi for over 40 years. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and received an MBA at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management. After a brief CPA career with KPMG, and then a corporate CFO stint, Mark endeavored into the money management business and was partner in two firms over a 21-year career. He later ventured into real estate investments and divested of that business in 2014.
Mark is 2019-20 District Governor for Rotary International’s District 6820. He joined the Rotary Club of Jackson in 1991 and has served as chair of multiple club committees. Mark’s service to District 6820 includes serving as chair for the 2015 joint 6820/6840 District conference, District Paul Harris Society coordinator and Chair of the District’s Foundation Annual Fund team. Mark and his wife Kit are Major Donors to the Rotary International Foundation, and Mark is a Paul Harris Society member.
Mark has volunteered and served as board member and officer of several charitable organizations. He was President and statewide volunteer of the year of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Jackson, Treasurer of the Common Bond Association and Elder and Building Committee Chair of Grace Chapel Presbyterian Church in Madison, Mississippi. Mark is a graduate of Leadership Jackson. He is currently Secretary of the Community Foundation for Mississippi Board of Trustees and serves on its Grants, Investments and Executive committees.
Mark is married to Kit Whitsett Fields of Jackson, Mississippi. They have two sons, Markwood and Gavin who reside in Nashville and Chattanooga, respective1y. Mark’s primary recreational activities include cycling, golf, and competition croquet. He currently serves as a regional director for the US Croquet Association.
