A Night with Wright

Wright Thompson sits on a stool.Please join the Jackson Friends of the Library for “A Night with Wright” on Thursday, June 1 at The Cedars (4145 Old Canton Road, Jackson) from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. benefiting the Jackson Friends of the Library General Fund at the Community Foundation for Mississippi. The evening will feature Senior Writer for ESPN and bestselling author of Pappyland and The Cost of These Dreams, Wright Thompson.

JFOL will begin the evening with a VIP hour at 6 p.m., where our VIP guests can meet Mr. Thompson while enjoying a special tasting from James Beard Semi-Finalist, Chef Hunter Evans of Elvie’s Restaurant along with a bourbon tasting offered by Cathead Distillery. VIP tickets will be limited!

For the main event at 7 p.m., Mr. Thompson will read a selection from Pappyland while guests enjoy food catered by Elvie’s Restaurant and a Cathead specialty bourbon cocktail along with wine from MadVines & Spirits, beer from Fertile Ground Brewing, and beverages offered by Brown Bottling. Lemuria Books will also be onsite with copies of Pappyland for purchase.

Join us for this special evening as we celebrate the relaunch of the Jackson Friends of the Library, an organization that exists to support and enhance the Jackson-based branches of the Jackson-Hinds Library System. JFOL thanks you for your support!

VIP ticket: $150
