MAC Accepting Grant ApplicationsJanuary 18, 2019
The Mississippi Arts Commission is accepting applications for the agency’s annual grants program. Operating and project grants are available for organizations and schools, and fellowships, apprenticeships, artist roster and teaching artist roster applications are available for individual artists. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 1, 2019, at 5 p.m.
Grants to organizations fund a broad range of arts projects in Mississippi communities and help nonprofit arts organizations maintain financial stability, build organizational capacity and improve artist programs. Funds are also available to organizations for presenting a roster artist or teaching artist. Grants to individual artists encourage artistic excellence, support the creation of new work, as well as help to ensure the survival of community-based traditional art forms found throughout the state.
Complete grant guidelines and instructions on how to use MAC’s eGRANT system can be found on the agency’s website at www.arts.ms.gov or by calling (601) 359-6030 for more details. First-time applicants are strongly encouraged to call and speak with a MAC staff member about their project before submitting an application.
