Director of Donor and Grant Services
Susan Frazier is the Director of Donor and Grant Services for the Community Foundation for Mississippi, having first served as a fund development consultant for the Foundation since 2011. A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, and proud graduate of Millsaps College, she also studied at University College Oxford and the Else School of Management. Susan has spent almost three decades working with and for nonprofit organizations, including those in higher education, healthcare, social services, and the arts.
She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Millsaps College and has previously served on the boards of directors of the Junior League of Jackson, the United States Pony Club/Deep South Region, the Millsaps College Alumni Association and Stewpot Community Services, including a term as board chair. Susan has experience in building nonprofit development, writing and print media, cultivating donor relations and leading project teams.
She is the mother of two talented, quick-witted and loving children, who have flown the coop and are now successful adults. Still on the dole are two rescue dogs (with only three eyes between them) and Celeste the wonder horse.
Susan is an active member of Galloway United Methodist Church in downtown Jackson and will serve as Lay Leader for 2020.
Best job: Mom. The Community Foundation is up there, though.
Super power: Ties perfect bows – for presents, little girls’ sashes, or men’s formal wear.
Defends: The grammar police, the Oxford comma, and two spaces after a period.
