Pamela Joy Swanson, 67, of Madison went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 18, 2019. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, an Animal Rescue Activist, General Parts Manager at Stribling Equipment, a former substitute teacher at Madison Ridgeland Academy, and a faithful and godly servant of Christ and lover of every person (and animal) she met.

She is survived by her lifelong love and husband, Gerald Scott Swanson, Sr. (Jerry), and four children, Jay Stockwell (and wife, Cara), and Gerald Scott Swanson, Jr. (Scott) (and wife, Dianne), and Lisabeth Swanson Bowman (and husband, Hil), and John Brent Swanson, and by four grandchildren, Peyton Elizabeth Swanson, Piper Leigh Swanson, Jackson Hilburn Bowman, and Kaylin Elisabeth Bowman, as well as her sister Ramona “Cissy” Hawkins (and husband, Rusty) in Pensacola, Florida and niece Pamela Nicole “Niki” Hawkins Tolleson (and husband, Taylor) in Birmingham, Alabama and nephew Russell Hawkins (and wife, Susan) and their children Kyle and Tori in Brandon, Mississippi, as well as her brother Jeff “Buddy” Case (and wife, Patti) in Huntsville, Alabama and nieces and nephews Tyler, Matt, and Silence Roth in Raleigh, North Carolina and Alex Case in Auburn, Alabama.

She is also survived by her aunt Eleanor Ann Horn in Lucedale, Mississippi, and her cousins Cheryl Ann Gilbert, Ted Gilbert, and Jim Horn Jr., and very best friend Nancy Sawyer.

Memorials are encouraged to be made to the Pam Swanson Memorial Fund for Animals at the Community Foundation for Mississippi, 119 S President Street, Jackson, MS 39201. The funeral services was held at Broadmoor Baptist Church on January 22 , followed by interment in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
