The Community Foundation for Mississippi’s Events and Administration Manager Sandy Quinn was recently honored for completing the Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofit and Philanthropy’s Emerging Leaders: Fundraising Executives program. Quinn was recognized by the Alliance’s Chief Program Officer Sandra Hodge and Program Coordinator Amanda Fontaine.
Created in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Mississippi Chapter, the program prepares participants to become innovative fundraisers for their organization to capture the necessary funds for long-term sustainability. The nine-month program features in-person and self-paced learning through a high-quality, renowned curriculum with experts and leaders from a variety of nonprofit, philanthropic and public sectors.
“I learned a lot about the Alliance and the resources they provide throughout this process,” she said. “Throughout this program, I saw how connections and relationships are important. I was face-to-face with some of Mississippi’s biggest fundraisers creating ripple effects in the community. It was a pleasure to meet experts and see how they are all impacting the state and making it better as a whole.”
